Internet Content Sydication Counsil

Internet Content Syndication Council Adds to Member Roster

Internet Content Syndication, which involves the selective placement of content on multiple Internet destinations, is increasingly seen as an important solution to the problem of audience fragmentation in a rapidly expanding Internet environment. The ICSC was formed to help guide the development of this industry and to increase understanding of its benefits to various user groups. To that end, Mr. Susman noted that a white paper will be released this quarter which establishes agreed-upon definitions of key industry terms and demonstrates how it serves the advertising, media and consumer communities.

In addition, the ICSC has formed four work group committees to help guide industry development in several critical areas. According to Susman, "Our ICSC work groups involve key executives from the leading companies involved in content syndication. We welcome all parties to the dialogue." The work groups include:

-- Advertising Work Group Chair - Bill Flitter, Pheedo
-- Licensing Work Group Chair - Dan McKillen, HealthDay
-- Measurement Work Group Chair - Rick Klau, Google
-- Video Work Group Chair - George Conlow, Brightcove
