ICSC ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD AND STRUCTURE;
GROUP TO TACKLE A STRONG EXPANSION INITIATIVE
New York (August 18) – Reflecting the growth of the industry it represents, The Internet Content Syndication Council has formalized its structure with the naming of a board of directors, incorporating as a 501(6)(c) trade association, and adopting a multi-tiered dues structure to ensure a broad-based membership.
Industry executives named to the Board of Directors are: Benjamin Chen, Chairman and CEO of Mochila; Andrew Susman, President and CEO of Studio One Networks; Brian Tervo, CEO of TIE Kinetix North America, the US subsidiary of TIE Holding, N.V.; Steve Tippie, VP of Licensing and New Market Development at Tribune Media Services; and Ken Zinn, Director of Digital Marketing Strategy at Abbott.
Susman, Chairman of the ICSC, said “the new ICSC board members, with their wide-ranging experience in Internet content distribution and marketing, will provide a creative path of growth for the ICSC membership and the industry.”
“I’m pleased with our new structure and expanded mission,” added Murray. “We wanted to ensure we have the resources to carry out our ambitious programs, aimed at promoting the industry’s growth.” She noted that the board includes representatives of various sectors of the industry, including advertiser-supported content, subscription-based content and ecommerce.
In addition to Executive Director, Laura Murray, ICSC staff includes Dr. Arthur Pober, Director of Government Affairs, and Tim Duncan, Director of Research.
The council’s mission is to serve as the unified public voice for the content syndication segment of the online marketing industry. It seeks to raise awareness of the industry and promote it as an effective, efficient model of online marketing. It provides members with up-to-date information on key regulatory and legislative matters – most recently with its white paper on Washington’s intense focus on Internet privacy and behavioral tracking.
